Orange Scones

We love orange anything. We decided to add whole cranberries and semi sweet chocolate chips to these Gluten Free Orange Scones. They are Great! Good without cranberries also.
Ingredients

2 cups Miracle Flour Blend
2 1/2 tsp. truvia (Stevia)
1 Tbl. baking powder
1 tsp. xanthan gum
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbl. grated orange peel
1/3 cup cold butter, cut into small chunks
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup coconut milk
1 egg
1 Tbl. Coconut milk (to brush on top)
2-3 Tbl. pure cane sugar or sugar crystal(to sprinkle on top)
1 cup cranberries or craisins (if desired)
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips (if desired)

GLAZE (optional): but recommended
1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
1 Tbl. orange juice

Baking Instructions

1. In bowl of stand mixer; combine our Miracle Flour Blend, truvia, orange peel, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs; set aside. In a small bowl, combine orange juice, cream and egg. Add to flour mixture and stir until a soft dough forms.Add Cranberries and chocolate chips now, if desired.
2. On a floured parchment,fold dough out. Pat dough into an 8-in” circle. Cut into 8-10 wedges. Separate wedges and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Brush tops with coconut milk; sprinkle with sugar.
3. Bake at 400° for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to a wire rack.
4. Combine glaze ingredients if desired; drizzle over scones.
